Uptown Xpress Productions has a large variety of music, with a decade-spanning catalogue of over 20 000 songs. Whether you prefer yesterday’s classics or today’s chart-topping hits, Uptown Xpress can fit the bill. We are constantly updating our musical library with the latest in hip hop, R&B, pop, rock and dance.
We always accept requests and will ask you ahead of time about your favorite songs.
Sound
Uptown Xpress uses only high quality professional sound equipment from brands like JBL, Yorkville Elite, Numark and Denon. Depending on the size of the event and venue, extra speakers and subwoofers can be added. Our systems are sure to get the party pumping, without overkill.
Lighting
Uptown Xpress offers a wide range of lighting effects, from basic spot lighting to elaborate light and laser shows. Fog or haze machines are used when allowed to enhance the "look" of the light show. Fog will not be used to make the dance floor a cloudy or smoky place.
The DJ
Uptown Xpress is not only your DJ, but your emcee (MC) as well! We take care of all the introductions and any announcements you wish to make. A schedule will be drafted in a personal consultation, giving you the peace of mind to enjoy your event, while Uptown Xpress takes care of the details!
Throughout the evening, Stefan will come to see you to ensure that everything is as expected. He will always notify you (or anyone else) in advance of an upcoming speech or dance, before announcing it publicly.
Weddings
For weddings, Stefan will meet with you well in advance and create a reception schedule. We will provide you with a template that you may use as a guide, so as not to overlook something. This "plan" will have all the details of the evening's reception, including introductions, speeches, special dances and special announcements. This “plan” ensures that nothing will be forgotten.
Uptown Xpress also offers a free consultation at your wedding reception hall to even better understand your wants and needs for the party.
Corporate
Uptown Xpress can DJ your corporate events, from company barbeques to holiday parties. Video projectors can be provided for slide shows and presentations, or even a karaoke machine for loads of fun!
